ABOUT BHMOB

The Annual Black History Month Observance Breakfast began 41 years ago with the late Congressman Richard Ray as honorary committee chairman followed by the late Congressman Mac Collins and since 1993 by Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr. The program honors individuals, organizations, and communities for significant contributions and recognition of African American History. Proceeds from the breakfast program will continue to be used to benefit local charitable organizations in the Columbus, GA area.
